But I never tried to share his network connection with my Debian laptop. Plug your phone on USB<br \/>\n2. Active &#8220;Share your phone network&#8221; on phone (in french: &#8220;Partage du r\u00e9seau mobile&#8221;)<br \/>\n3. You see now an <i>usb0<\/i> ethernet device:<\/p>\n<pre>usb0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Link encap:Ethernet\u00a0 HWaddr a2:17:af:4f:fa:da\r\nBROADCAST MULTICAST\u00a0 MTU:1500\u00a0 Metric:1\r\nRX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0\r\nTX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0\r\ncollisions:0 lg file transmission:1000\r\nRX bytes:0 (0.0 B)\u00a0 TX bytes:0 (0.0 B)<\/pre>\n<p>4. Configure <i>usb0<\/i> to have the network configuration 192.168.100.100\/24 with your favorite tool (<i>ifconfig<\/i> for example).<br \/>\n5. Now you can ping your phone with 192.168.100.254.
